Big Pineapple

Big Pineapple
The big pineapple is 16.7m high and has 3 floors. It is the biggest pineapple in the world! The ground floor has a gift shop full of pineapple goodies such as jams and chutneys, locally made pottery and puzzles as well as t-shirts and hats to name but a few of the items for sale ideal for overseas and local tourists looking for that small gift to take home!
Summerhill Farm was originally allocated to the 1820 Settler Charles Crause and part of the original 1825 homestead has been restored and houses the Packshed Restaurant. In 1833, John Hawkins, who was a founder member of the Bathurst Agricultural Society, purchased the farm for 2,000 pounds. He was also one of the first farmers to plant pineapples.

Quinn Sculpture Garden and Gallery
A unique experience in an enchanted garden.
Visit Maureen Quin, South Africa's foremost sculptress in her studio. Her ability to capture the spirit of her subject, be it wildlife, portraiture, or her expressive work, has garnered her commissions and sales internationally. In her gallery in Alexandria visitors can see the origins of her commissions of Nelson Mandela, the Rearing Arab Stallion, Jack Nicklaus to name a few. The garden, rich in bird life and indigenous plants , is home to a comprehensive collection of sculpture, the result of fifty years as a professional sculptress. A minimal entry fee gives you as many cups of coffee/tea or lemon syrup as you like under the jacaranda tree, access to the sculpture garden and galleries. Times: 9am - 4.30pm. Saturday: 9am - 1pm.
